US ATTORNEY NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE TEAM THOMAS
DC Council Should Remove Harry Thomas
DC Council Should Remove Harry Thomas
Washington, DC: The DC Republican Committee made the following statement in response to the DC Attorney General's complaint referred to the US Attorney's office involving Team Thomas and Councilmember Harry Thomas. The DC Republican Committee and former GOP Ward 5 candidate Tim Day originally requested the investigation of Team Thomas and Harry Thomas with the Attorney General's office.
"We strongly encourage the US Attorney to begin its own investigation into Team Thomas and Harry Thomas. DC elected officials need to know they cannot use their positions of authority to get rich and milk the system any longer. There needs to be repercussions for such actions including criminal charges," stated Bob Kabel, Chairman of the DC Republican Committee.
"Council Chairman Kwame Brown needs to set an example that this type of behavior cannot be tolerated and ask Mr. Thomas to resign. Councilmembers should not be under investigation by multiple sources while serving as an elected official," concluded Kabel.
